Green Eyes and Tempting Lies: Andrew's Seduction Game
Unlocking Desire, One Tempting Move at a Time
Andrew has a crush on Roman, the green-eyed Latin Adonis who tends to the convenience store a few blocks from Andrew's loft. There's a small problem: Roman is straight. Andrew, undeterred, is ready to step up to the plate. It's been a year since Andrew played on the field, and he's ready to go to bat for a chance to play in Roman's playground.
I don't know how I could have missed him. I came to the Quickie Mart at least twice a week. My eyes cut over as I pretended to look at the variety of lip balms available on the tiny aisle.
For a second, he looked directly at me. He may have even cracked a smile. All I know is he was Latin with green eyes and had an impressive build. My lust for Latin men had become an addiction. Maybe it was the accent. It had to be. Yes, the accent was an instant underwear dropper if I wore them.
It all started about a week ago. I noticed Roman while my friend girl Addy gassed up for our road trip to New York. The heat in Atlanta cracked the 100-degree mark. I went inside to pick up a few water bottles for our trip, and Roman caught my eye.
Roman busied himself, stocking the potato chips on the aisle's end cap. I passed by and got a whiff of his intoxicating scent. His black boxers revealed themselves as he performed his clerk duties.
I willed myself not to attack him in the middle of the aisle. If it weren't for the four other people in the store, I would have found a reason to trip and fall onto his dick, not thinking twice about it.
"Can I help you with something?" Roman asked. His accent was thick and oozed pure sex. With the blink of his eyes and his courteous smile, it was as if he was moving in slow motion. His thick eyelashes were long and dark. For a second, I thought he was wearing mascara.
I stumbled over my words. "Thank you," I blurted. The words passed over my lips before I could form a half-decent response. Without thinking, I padded to the double door, walking quickly to the car.
"Andrew, what's wrong?" Addy asked. "Where’s the water?"
"Just get in," I said, slamming the door and peeling out of the lot.
My hands gripped the steering wheel as I merged into traffic. I don't know what came over me. Just the sight of Roman sent me into a mind fuck. I couldn't think.
Since then, my visits to Quickie Mart have become regular. Addy said I'd become a stalker. Stalker was a little harsh. I preferred the term enthusiast. I knew Roman worked the first shift and took his break just before noon. He didn't work Sundays and left early on Thursdays.
"Hi, Andrew. Back again? That's twice today," Roman said as he approached me.
"You know me, I always forget something, that one little thing," I said.
"What are you looking for?"
"Ahh--" I said, looking around, trying to think. "Lottery tickets!" I said, throwing my hands in the air.
"Cool, we keep them behind the counter. You want to play the numbers or get the scratch-offs?"
I'd never played the lotto. It really didn't matter what I got. "Um, your choice. I trust you."
"Really now. Hmm. Let's see. I think scratch-offs," he said, walking over to the massive plastic casing of tickets. "These seem to be pretty popular. We had a guy win five hundred bucks a few days ago."
"Sounds perfect!"
"How many?" Roman asked, pulling his bottom lip in and biting it gently. Maybe it was the heat coming in as the doors opened, but I felt my body temperature rise as his eyes scanned me.
"Five, please," I said, reaching for my credit card.
"Sorry, man, it's only cash for this stuff," Roman said.
"Wow, okay." I reached into my jeans pockets and pulled out my only cash. "Give me three dollars worth then." I smiled and ran my fingers through my brown hair, pulling the curls from my forehead.
"Good luck," Roman said, giving me a slight wink. Before walking out the sliding doors, I saw Roman watching me walk away. He nodded and smiled seductively, leaving me with the impression that there was an opening.
My fingers fumbled in my pockets as I searched for my key to unlock my door. The Atlanta heat had another record-breaking day with temperatures well over a hundred degrees.
The sun had baked the leather seats in my truck, burning my thighs as I settled into my seat. Wearing shorts and having leather seats is not a good idea. If we have seats that can warm themselves, why can't we have seats that can cool in the hot, nut sack of summer?
How do you work? I studied the scratch-off carefully. I flipped the card over and read the directions.

It sounded simple enough. I began working the penny's edge over the ten colored spaces. I then moved to my Winning Numbers section and scratched off the two spaces.
"Well, look-a there," I said, moving my eyes back and forth to each column. "I just won six bucks!"
I moved to the other two cards and scratched the spaces off similarly. This time, I came up empty on the second and won three dollars on the third. I'd just turned three dollars into nine bucks, and the big silver lining was I had an excuse to see Roman again.
